Better Rehab had the pleasure of attending and sponsoring the University of Queensland Occupational Therapy final year conference on Friday the 15th of November.
We live and breathe our values in all that we do and we are excited to support the next generation of occupational therapists.
The conference provided an opportunity for students to present their final projects to fellow students, teaching staff and clinicians. The students undertake projects, covering a wide range of professional service areas; these are carried out in collaboration with various practicing occupational therapy clinicians.
Former UQ students and Better Rehabilitation employees (Jess Nosworthy – QLD Manager, Zoe Wagner-Jordan – Team Leader, Arial Huang – Occupational Therapist) spent the day listening to the student project presentations, engaging with UQ academic staff and talking with soon-to-be occupational therapists about life after graduation.
We also had the opportunity to have a stall where we were able to discuss new graduate opportunities with Better Rehabilitation in 2020 (we also enjoyed sharing some delicious purple lollies – in honour of Better Rehab’s favourite colour!)
During the afternoon session of the conference, our QLD manager (Jess Nosworthy) had the privilege to address the conference and share her top tips for new graduate therapists.
